Level I - Infrared for Building Applications

July 19-22, 2010, 8am-5pm
Tarrytown, NY

We have made arrangements with Snell Infrared to conduct the Level I - Infrared for Building Applications course for a class of 15 people in White Plains on July 19-22, 2010.

Level I - Infrared for Building Applications prepares students to successfully apply infrared technology to residential energy audits and small commercial facilities. Those who complete the class will also meet or exceed the educational and training requirements of the new RESNET infrared standard. Please note, however, that additional field experience and minimum equipment specifications are required for full compliance. RESNET's Infrared Certification Committee may also request additional information and documentation prior to issuing certification. Please contact The Snell Group directly for more information about continuing educational credits that are available for this course.

This is a four-day event including both classroom and field work.

The venue is:

Doubletree Tarrytown
455 South Broadway
Tarrytown, NY 10591

The cost of the course per participant is $1,550 for BPCA Members, and $1650 for non-members, including tuition and continental breakfast and lunch each day; dinners are not included. Lodging specifics TBA.

Instructor - Matt Schwoegler

Matt Schwoegler joined The Snell Group in 2002 in a dual role first involving IR training and marketing. His primary responsibilities are currently as an instructor for both the four-day Level I - Infrared for Building Applications and the two-day IR for Weatherization and Energy Audits courses.  Matt recently finished leading a successful series of the two-day IR Weatherization classes for the New York State Weatherization Directors Association (NYSWDA).

Mattís technical knowledge, especially in the realm of building applications, has been integral in the evolution of The Snell Groupís marketing strategies, blending industry knowledge of IR equipment with methods for teaching thermography to audiences with a vast array of needs. When not on the road leading IR training or providing technical support to customers, Matt is busy helping coordinate the companyís global marketing campaigns involving print, electronic, and multi-media formats.

Matt has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire and spent several years in various marketing roles in the Vermontís ski industry before discovering his passion for infrared.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, alpine skiing, and golf.

Register online below. If the course fills before you have a chance to enroll, we have created a waiting list. We will schedule another training for different dates when there are 15 people who want to take the course. Our goal is to continue to repeat this training in other locations across the state.
